The art
Synonymous with the Italian style, the art of glassblowing originated in the eighteenth century. Its techniques were guarded with such zeal that the masters were forbidden to leave the island of Murano without special permission from the Venetian authorities.
Nowadays the production of glass objects remains the highest expression of refined work of numerous dynasties of master glassmakers who have transmitted the art of transforming sand with fire and air, in the strictest secret of their island and that has reached a few parts of the world.
